As of current data, 66% of the Provinces, Highly Urbanized Cities (HUCs) and Independent Component Cities (ICCs) while 62% of the total component cities and municipalities in the country are placed under Alert Level 1 for June 1 to June 15, 2022.

With majority of the local government units (LGUs) placed under Alert Level 1, this is to inform the public that the conduct of sports activities including events and tournaments are allowed in LGUs under Alert Level 1, subject to the protocols and guidelines as specified in the Guidelines on the Nationwide Implementation of Alert Level System for COVID-19 Response.

Anent this, at all times, well-fitted masks shall be worn properly, whether outdoors or in indoors private or public establishments, except for the following instances:

i. Eating and drinking;

ii. Participating in team and individual sports in venues where ventilation standards can be maintained;

iii. Practicing outdoor sports/exercise activities where physical distance can be maintained.

All establishments shall ensure implementation of national protocols on the proper use, handling, and disposing of appropriate personal protective equipment.

Further, individuals eighteen (18) years old and above will be required to present proof of full vaccination before participating in mass gatherings or entry into indoor establishments including fitness studios, gyms, and venues for exercise and sports.
